After some quick review, we had our reading test. Then we went over it. Then we did a page in the notebook, talking again about common nouns. Finally, we discussed the long weekend and looked at another Max and Ruby story, discussing the characters and introduced vocabulary words.

Today we reviewed our worksheet, then reviewed the vocabulary words and the phonics patterns /ch/ and /sh/ with a quick and fun activity:
I also let the students know exactly what will be on the test tomorrow, with some examples where necessary:
1. spelling
2. unscramble vocabulary words
3. fill in the blanks with the unscrambled words
4. nouns (recognize and circle in a question)
5. questions about the story (similar to the worksheet)
We also did a couple of pages in the notebook, reviewing our vocabulary words and nouns.
