Today we did a practice worksheet together. I talked about the test a little bit. Then we spent time catching up in our writing books.
The vocabulary quiz tomorrow will be the first one I record for a grade. It will have three parts: a spelling section, a section practicing usage and meaning of words, and a section matching pictures to the correct word. Studying the vocabulary and making sure students know the meaning and spelling of the words will be helpful. There won't be questions about the reading.
We will also begin our show and tell tomorrow. I'm still getting a feel for the level and interests of the class, but we will keep working on this.
